I want to be inside your darkest everything. - Frida Kahlo Name: Uchiyama, Ryuishi Nicknames: Ryuu, Oni-senpai True Name: Hysteria Age: Twenty-nine Marital Status: Single Birth Date: May 13th (a friday) Occupation: Owner of the Rakki Ryuu Life Goals: To show everyone the truth about the world I can feel it through your empty eyes and I can hear all the screaming thoughts inside that chaotic mind of yours. - Ming D. Liu Hair: Pitch black and kept shoulder length on the right side and in the back, while the left side of his head is usually kept shaved. Normally he can be found wearing it up in a ponytail or bun of sorts, leaving only a few longer strands to frame the right side of his face. Eyes: They are naturally a dark brown, almost black. However he enjoys wearing full contacts that give him a ‘demon eyed’ appearance, so few have ever seen what his eyes truly look like. He especially enjoys the discomfort his eyes cause people whenever they meet his gaze. Body: Ryuu is first and foremost very tall, standing at nearly 6’5 he’s much taller than the average man, especially one of Japanese descent. His height also makes his body appear thin and slight, but don’t be fooled he has strong and wiry muscles built up from years of hard work and pushing his body to the limits. Name Location: On the right side of his head behind his ear and just under his hairline. Ears and Tail: When he did have them they were a sleek black with charcoal stripes that twisted around them. Ethnicity: Japanese Extra: Over the course of his life Ryuu has gotten quite a few piercings with several in both ears, one in his left eyebrow and one in his bottom lip. His body is also covered in black tattoos, the most noticeable being the one that wraps around his neck. Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways. - Sigmund Freud Controlling Ryuu thrives on taking control, being in charge, forcing others to do things against their will. Breaking a person down and twisting them to suit his needs. To him it is all a game, one that he greatly enjoys playing. Narcissistic He cares for no one but himself. Everyone else in this world are nothing more than pawns, ants crawling around unaware of the truth in the world. Sociopath Things such as empathy or remorse are foreign concepts to him. He feels nothing for those around him. Their suffering means nothing. They mean nothing. Liar Over the years Ryuu has gotten very good at pretending, becoming who he needs to be to fool people into giving into him. Like an actor on a stage he lets lies spill forth with conviction and false sincerity. His web of lies is so vast and tangled that it's near impossible to see the truth behind it all. Despicable Ryuu has done many dark and terrible things over his life, things he does not regret and things he would not hesitate to do again and will continue to do in the future. Driven Perhaps one of his only good traits, Ryuu is able to set goals and follow them through to the very end. Once he sets his mind to something he will stop at nothing to see it complete. Patient This one might come as a surprise to many, especially those who’ve been witness to his seemingly random acts of violence. But it's all merely part of the grand scheme of things, every single action has a purpose a reason behind it all. He is capable of sitting back and letting the pieces fall together, and can wait as long as it takes for his desires to be fulfilled. My mother used to say, 'be wary of wolves they can smell the beds of lambs from miles away.' - Pavana Hannako Uchiyama was a good woman. She went to church every Sunday, worked hard at her job as a maid, gave to charities and tried her best to help those in need. She was a good person. So it came as a surprise to everyone who knew her to find that she was raped one night on her way home from the hotel she cleaned for. Church members would clutch their hearts and say what a tragedy it was, how it was the devil himself at work. Keep her faith, they told her, God would lead her through this dark time and make her all the stronger for it. So she kept going to church, prayed a little more, and continued to work. God would make things better, all she had to do was believe. When it was discovered three months later that she was pregnant, again it was passed off as another test of God. Abortion was out of the question, each life was precious no matter how it was created. Hannako was a good woman, and she carried her unborn child to full term and after nine hours of difficult labor she delivered a happy 8lb 7oz baby boy. Ryuishi, she named him, hoping the name would give him strength in life. She was a good woman, but when that tiny baby was placed in her arms for the first time she felt nothing but fear. With his head full of black hair, eyes so dark they seemed like an endless abyss, and ghostly pale skin he resembled the demon children from the legends her long deceased sister used to tell her to scare her. His eyes seemed far too focused for a newborn, too cold, too calculating. It scared her, HE scared her. Especially with the dark word written on the side of his tiny head, in English no less. The doctors all assured her that there was nothing wrong with him, that though they couldn’t explain the mark it was of no medical concern. Nonetheless Hannako took the baby home, fully intending to raise him to the best of her ability and fill his life with love, after all she was a good woman and God would help her through these hard times. Ryuishi was a peculiar child, he wasn’t fussy nor did he cry often. Hannako took this as a blessing, a well behaved infant was a godsend for a single working mother. Ryuishi spent most of his toddler years being watched over by members of the church when his mother worked. They too thought he was an odd child, never interacting much with the other babies and instead choosing to sit back and observe them as if he were king and they mere subjects in his kingdom. But at only two years old he didn’t cause trouble and they stuck with labeling him as just odd. Odd little Ryuu, never bothering anyone. When he turned three things began to change, subtly at first. Children would complain of being pushed down or pinched when no one was looking. Then things took a more violent turn, bruises began appearing on the other children’s bodies, a few unfortunate individuals even ended up with cuts and scrapes from blunted children’s scissors. For two years the children suffered under Ryuu, and the adults and his mother were none the wiser. To them Ryuu was a quiet well behaved boy, he was just odd. At the age of five Ryuu began school, and it was no different there. As far as his teachers knew he was a quiet obedient student. But to the children he was their personal tormentor. Fear kept them from telling, quiet threats of worse pain if they even spoke one word against him. At 9 he was finally deemed old enough to stay home by himself when his mother worked and he had no school, and it was then that things took an interesting turn. With no children to ‘play’ with, he began experimenting with animals. Cats, birds, anything he could get his hands on. After each session the bodies were carefully buried in the backyard garden. Even at such a young age Ryuu knew that what he was doing would not be accepted by the rest of the world. They wouldn’t understand him. At 10 he is finally discovered by Seven Moons and inducted into the world of units, and it was there that he feels he truly began to blossom. He learned of the meaning of the word inscribed on his head and the power it could hold. He learned of his power over Fighters, tools to be used to his advantage. He liked to collect them, the ones not yet claimed the outsiders from poor families who were just as knew to the world as he was. At 11 he begins experimenting with his unit ring, his mother being his favorite target. Hannako tried so hard to be a good mother, but he could see through her. She was a fraud, weak and bent to the will of the expectations of those around her. At 12 his mother commits suicide, driven mad by her own son’s ring. A tragedy everyone says, a poor boy left motherless with no one to take him in. Ryuu makes the choice to live with one of the Fighter’s under his leadership. This particular Fighter, four years older than Ryuu, had his own apartment and made money peddling drugs to lower side. Through him Ryuu begins his descent into gangs and territory wars. Ryuu decides he likes this life, watching as people fought and killed over petty things. These people were so open, so easy to read and manipulate once you knew what they wanted. At 15 he graduates early from Seven Moons, eager to get out into the world on his own and away from the watchful eye of the Headmaster and his Aristocratic masters. At 16 he begins working in a butcher shop that acts as a front for smuggling drugs into the city. He builds muscle hacking at tough meat and lugging carcasses twice his size, and develops a talent with knives. He finds he rather enjoys the way the blade slides through flesh. At 16 and a half he makes his first kill. The butcher Keisuke never saw it coming. He takes over the shop and in turn the drugs the shop produces. At 17 he is in control of most of the drug scene in the city, he rules his underground kingdom with an iron fist. But he is not satisfied. More he decides, he wants more. It is then that he decides what his ultimate goal will be. At 18 he opens the night club The Rakki Ryuu, lucky dragon indeed. The club becomes known for its drugs and sex trade, and money begins rolling in. The authorities don’t try to stop it, he pays them too well. Money, sex, drugs, these are the things people will fight for, die for. He knows this and uses it to his advantage. At 19 he meets the pink haired whore named Yen. He recognizes her as being a Sacrifice like him, and sees the lost desperation in her eyes. A plot his formed and he pays for a night with her. Ryuu fills her head with knowledge about their world (she is so blissfully ignorant of it and he nearly laughed in her face), tells her that he can help her bring her away from this life. She denies him, perhaps sensing the darkness inside of him that so many others have not. It makes him want her more. But sweet words will not bring her out of this, he realizes this. So he ravages, tears, and breaks her and then leaves her without a word. A display of his power, what he can do. When she is desperate enough she will come to him, this he knows. It is months later before the whore comes to him, sooner than he’d expected, and with a grey haired girl in tow. Yen agrees all too easily to his demands, so desperate for the protection he can offer. But not for her, instead it is the teen named Usagi that she wants kept safe. Ryuu smiles and lets promise after promise slip past his serpent's tongue. Ten years have passed since then, ten years of plotting and raising his empire from the ground up but always keeping to the shadows. Ryuu is patient, he will wait till the moment is right. |
