PERSONALITY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Much like his dad he is a hothead but since he also took care of his sisters he tends to just fume quietly more than anything. If something really bugs him however he will go off about it and not hold back. One trait about him that is developed from being part of the force is his observation skills. He doesn't do the detailed observation he skims over things quickly to assess the situations at hand. He will zero in on suspicions or something that makes his tail tingle. That is never a good sign to him. So he follows that instinct until it is handled or sated. Goofball. He is a huge goofball. In terms of wanting to have fun, relax, be a typical young adult if possible. He may come up with something on the whim or even plan a whole day of fun. He isn't really a home body due to the fact he never really stayed at home except to watch his sisters. He is an animal lover and will try to keep one as a pet. Only simply because he couldn't have one due to his scheduling. He is a family sort of guy so he adopts people. Yes you heard it right. If he likes you enough he will adopt you some how. So you would be a new sibling, aunt/uncle, cousin or parent. His family has always been open to helping others and taking in someone as one of their own. So yeah a trait he adopted into as well. He is very loyal which is a given but if you break that loyalty or trust it is a lot of work to get back. Not impossible but yes hard to get back.
HISTORY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]So I want to make a few things clear before I begin on me. Sit down, relax, grab a drink and just hear me out alright? So Whitebang is my last name? Well in a sense yes and no. According to mom our family ancestry is a long line of fighters, guards, protectors. Yeah pretty much all of the very tactful side of fighting. Now here is the interesting part about my family. In the Edo period however a disease was going around making people very sick and most of the time you would die at a young age. My clan however didn't die per se due to an immunity they had built up due to using the baths for everything. The high amounts of sulfur in their blood stream counter acted the disease thus killing the infection but it also killed the hair and/or eye color. Most of the clan will have light blue, lavender, light pink, or light green eyes they have a moderate amount of sulfur in their system. Light grey, orange, or gold they have a high amount of sulfur in their system. So in case if you are wondering yes they do drink the waters but it goes through a filtration system. Also the hair will only come up as snow white due to the effects of the sulfur. The clan name came from our unusual hair color and most of the time during that era they all had some sort of bangs as part of their hairstyle. To this day that seems to be a tourist attraction so we keep it around for entertainment purposes. Yeah yeah you seem like you go back in time but that is only during the festivals.
So now it is on to me right? Okay and yes we have natural hot springs. Anyways~ I was born during the winter months to Shou and Zalphina Kanai. Pops never uses his 'government' name he goes by Bang. He said his dad gave it to him and he stuck with it ever since. Mom said I was named by my grandparents as well much like they were. She said the grandparents usually name the first born and mines comes from both my parents parents. Kyo from my fathers side and Keito from his mothers side. Of course we won't go into the detail of me not having a name the first 2 hours of my birth. Thanks mom for that bit of info... Mind you when mother told me about it I was pissed. Keita came about from a dialect error. My parents didn't find out about it until much later however so the name change will cost them. But in the end mother stated I should be allowed to change my name when I come of age. Currently I have no urge to change my name since I find it to be unique.
At 2 I started to drink the waters and at 5 things became a bit more interesting for me. No only can I walk and talk but I can outrun my old man. Yes as you guessed it I am a tyrant and I was always in trouble. I was so bad in fact spankings seemed so little to me. Pops barked an order I ignored him and did the opposite. It got so bad my mom took me to my grandmother and I was not allowed in the spa. While I was under her careful watch I was learning about my family background. Here she taught me a bit about magic. Well I thought it was at the time. Of course I learned the truth much later but that is beside the point. She told me to promise that I won't tell our secret until I was properly trained to handle things anyways. As a kid I was excited and I promised so she said good and gave me my favorite fruit.
When I was 9 or so my first baby sister was born. My sister Hotaru and she has lavender eyes. Such a beauty she is but she is quite the snapper. Could be why my mother named her such because she just doesn't play nicely if you tease her too much. Not only am I big brother Kyo but I am also her protector. I would let her get away with things from time to time but as we grew older I would scold her too. She learned but like any sibling I still let her get away with some things. When I was around 15 mom and dad had my other little sister Ren, One cyan, one lavender eye set. About a month before her arrival we had sort of a mishap at the Spa. You see I was helping my mom around at the spa since grandma stepped out for some errands. During the down season we normally stock up on a lot of things and get ready for the busy season. Sometimes wealthy people like to buy out exclusives during this time and it is similar to their private vacation. Well here is what happened on this particular day. My sister wanted to play tag so I joined her for a little bit but told her I have to watch some rooms. We had a drunk guest come in and asked for a bath so I went to gather the items to set him up. My sister Hotaru was leading him to the room and that is when things happened. By the time I came around the corner she was screaming and crying. The guy was slurring and cursing at her so I told her to run to the "the office" and get dad. She did just that as I defended her against the guy. I was not as experienced so he damaged my eye.
So after dad and his crew apprehended the man I was taken to the doctor with my grandmother in toe carrying my wailing sister. She blames herself for me protecting her from the mad man who wanted her. My eye could not be saved so it was removed and the socket sealed. My dad decided that it was best I learn to work as the security of the Spa. I had some training thanks to a few of them training me and being part of the Search and Rescue team. My sisters are always under my guard and as for my mom and grandma? Well let's just say they are special and don't need me as much. Now here is the tricky part that I don't seem to know too much about. around my 18th birthday I started getting these headaches and my ears would ring for a while. I told mom I have no clue as to why this was happening but she did so did my pops for that matter. She called a special school and decided that it was time to get me trained in something new.
Thing is due to my father I was delayed coming here. He didn't want me being trained by others and he fought for that right. So my mother called back and said it will be a 2 year delay. I trained under my dad but alas things didn't work out so well. Mom and dad fought and mom eventually won. My grandmother said this place will teach me properly and I will be fine. Dad thinks otherwise and from that point he didn't want to talk to me. My sisters bid me goodbye and promise to visit me on their school breaks.
