PERSONALITY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]To some he may come off as manipulative. That is not necessarily incorrect, though cunning may be a better fit of a word. He enjoys chess, and believes every person is a player of the greater chess game that is life. Julius is an observer, usually choosing to remain silent instead of speaking. He is of the belief that speaking without first carefully choosing ones words does nothing but showcase ones foolishness – especially if one is connected to the fighting world, or to that of the aristocrats.
He often comes off as harsh, cold, or “no nonsense.” True to his family's nature, he will not stand for failure. If one gives ones best and it does not reach par, there is no need to keep their acquaintance, and that includes those he is personally acquainted with as well as professional connections.

HISTORY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Julius is the heir of the prestigious Nakamura family. Run by his mother, Riza, Nakamura Corporation is one of the most successful businesses in the Innocents' world. They are also among the most well known families in the fighting world, and some the most infamous names in the underground.
The Nakamura family line goes back to feudal Japan. Financial students can crack open any textbook of theirs and the family name will show at least ten times in any chapter. As banks and financial systems were put in place in the country, the Nakamuras were there, heading the movement. The Bank of Japan was founded by the current Nakamura head at the time, Julius' grandfather (minus the many 'great's) and has since been chaired by the head of the family through each era, all the way from 1882, it's first year.
The Bank of Japan has quite a bit of say in Japan's government, meaning the family itself has the same power, though it is limited to the main branch. They are perfectly aware of this fact and use it to their advantage; many of the non-main branches of the family covet the position the main family is in. There have been quite a few attempts to overthrow the main branch, and in turn there has been quite a bit of “pruning” done to the Nakamura family tree.
The bloodline is purely sacrificial, from the very beginning. Both husbands and wives are tested before marriage to ensure their genes will produce a sacrifice as offspring, and accidental pregnancies do not occur, as that is unacceptable within our family and our community. Julius' father was the exception to the rule of a sacrificial bloodline. It is a romantic and wholly too convenient story, which frankly disgusts Julius. “Powers of love” they say. Riza demanded to her father, the former Chair and head of the family, that she be allowed to marry her fighter, an aristocrat from the United States named William. Her father denied the demand, of course. Despite being an aristocrat, William's family held what Ju believes are typically American and idealistic thoughts and did not enforce arranged marriages. They also did not uphold the careful science of their bloodline, and therefore were unsure of the chances of their offspring being a fighter. Although Riza's child would not be a fighter, the Nakamura heir after her would be tainted. That heir could potentially unravel the careful science that had given the Nakamura's their pureblood status.
It took for Riza's threatening her father's life at swordpoint for him to allow their marriage. The family did not agree, but with his begrudging consent, no other word could stop their joining. Julius was born two years later, again upsetting the family balance as the “tainted prince.” The heir with dirtied blood. Still, he was firstborn son to Riza, and therefore would be the head of the family after she passed away. The child was trained in all aspects of banking, business and finance, and self defense. Beside the “respectable” business, Julius was also trained to control the lessers of the underground, although that is a private matter. A gifted student, he excelled in every subject, surpassing fellow students and some aristocratic children.
At age eleven, Ju's grandfather passed away, yielding the throne to his mother, who had throughout the years developed into a cunning business woman. There was no slack during the time that passed between him dying and her picking the seat up. The branches of the family were mostly silent, seething in private and creating plots to overturn her. And when Julius turned thirteen, they brought those plots to life. At least, they tried. William was shot one evening on his way home from one of the banks; a late night of work “gone wrong”. The image of Riza collapsing in the living room is one that will sit in Julius' mind for life.
The tainted heir changed after that night. Once a bright, cunning young man, he became twisted. Would hurt fighters at Seven Moons using his will. He bent people to that will, forcing them to do as he wished. Guards were placed around his mother at all times, not by her choice but by her son's. Nothing would take her from him. He would not go through that pain again.
Unbeknownst to Julius, boiling just below the sociopathic surface, is a crippling fear of losing what his family has amassed and what he sees as “his”. Riza came back from William's death, claiming a blank and arranging one for her son in the form of marriage (should his life story follow hers). Unlike his mother, Julius never recovered from the death of his father.
