Hanazono Sacrifices

First and foremost the family is made up of Sacrifices with a 95% of each child being born to them being one as well. They are very strict about marriages within the main family, especially where the heirs are concerned.

The Hanazono family is also a very traditional one, each member is taught Hanakotoba, how to preform tea ceremonies flawlessly, and each member is encouraged to learn and master an instrument of their choice. Main branch members are also expected to learn the family business and most pursue jobs in either business management or engineering. Everyone in the family has a purpose and an expected job to fulfill. The Hanazono's do not tolerate idleness or free loaders.

In terms of being a Sacrifice, each family member undergoes strict training to learn to wield their will as a deadly weapon. Meditation is mandatory for all members as it helps to not only clear the mind but strengthen it as well, and for the Hanazono's their mind is their greatest weapon. They learn to control their emotions and how to weave webs of deceit with their words and expressions.

Along with mental training the family also puts its members through physical training. Sacrifices have always been the ones meant to bear the pain in a spell battle and the Hanazono's make sure that their family will be able to withstand pain. It is not uncommon for bones to be purposely broken, skin to be carefully slashed, bruised, burned and even frost bitten. It is all for the sake of turning their bodies into tools strong enough to withstand any spell cast at them. They must learn to work past pain at all costs. At the end of each members training they are taken near the top of the mountain where the wind is freezing cold and the snow falls near constantly. For three days and nights they are expected to meditate and free their minds of all outside influence. After this final test they are introduced as a full fledged Hanazono family Sacrifice.
